Talya Modlin

The rise to power and death of Grigori Jefimowitsch Rasputin (1869 - 1916)
Everybody might have heard the name "Rasputin" before, maybe as "lover of the Russian queen" or as the name of a cocktail anywhere in the world. Talya Modlin tells the story of the man behind the name, a Russan Orthodox christian and mystic, who is perceived as having influenced the latter days of the Russan Emperor Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra and their only son Alexei.

Talya Modlin was born in Johannesburg, South Africa but half raised in Chicago, IL, USA. Currently studying comics, drawing, print and a little bit of animation at School of the Art institute of Chicago. Intent on graduating in 2012 with a BFA. Also, shares a bed with a male cat named Sue. http://www.flickr.com/photos/talya_modlin/
